✓ Leaderboard scores push every time you set a new record
✓ Progress survives new phones — just sign in on the new device
✓ Zero email, phone number, or personal info required beyond your Play Games display name

Google Play Games is optional. Everything in the game works without it — you just won't see the badges or climb the global boards.
